Typical of those holidaying in the nude at La Jenny naturist resort every summer are Matt and Jane who are British schoolteachers. La Jenny appeals to them and their two young children because of its long sandy beach (with lifeguards), heated swimming pool complex, sports facilities and children's club.

The sports facilities at La Jenny naturist resort include golf (6-hole course and driving range), tennis, archery, boules, table-tennis, bike-hire and a pony club. The central area includes a restaurant, bar, fishmonger, hairdresser and bookshop/newsagents. Wi-fi is available too.
Accommodation ranges from small two-person chalets to 2-storey family ones.
Naturists Range Widely
"Most important of all, by no means everyone naked at La Jenny is fit and well-shaped", Jane says.
"We've realised that naturists range from the obese to the anorexic, from the hirsute to the hairless. And in the evenings people wear clothes because it is normally too chilly to be nude.
Being Naked
"One of the main reasons for being naked is to enjoy the sun all over your body. It is such a glorious feeling!
"Our children do not comment on it and we hope they will still be happy to go naturist when they are older. We feel it is important to bring them up not to be prurient or ashamed of their bodies".
Naturist Beach in Poland
It was on a trip to Poland in a group of students that Jenny first encountered naturism. They came to a beautiful beach where hardly anyone was wearing clothes. She did not herself strip off, feeling rather reticent among her friends, but says the seed was sown.
Several years later, now married, she and Matt were on holiday in France. In their hotel they got chatting to a couple who told them they went to a nearby naturist beach each day.
Going to a Naturist Beach
Remembering her Polish experience, Jenny says she felt she would like to try it. Matt was initially reluctant but eventually she persuaded him to do so too. So next day they accompanied the other couple to the naturist beach.
Once she and Matt had overcome their initial shyness, she says they felt totally relaxed about being nude.
Naked Swim
"After lying on the sand and having a glorious totally naked and free swim for the first time, I felt wonderful and resolved that I would never wear a swimming costume again unless I really had to", she says. "So La Jenny is ideal for us.
"There is nothing sexual about it. I quickly realised that naturists are much more concerned about the person behind the body. Removing one's clothes dissolves social barriers. It is extremely hard to keep up a front when you are totally naked".
